Who is Early Childhood Justice?
Who is Early Childhood Justice?
Mission Statement
Through interactions with the children entrusted to our care we have the unique opportunity to influence a future that is just and equitable. Where kindness, connection, and respect are survival skills.
Where everyone who enters feels safe to experiment, question, and engage authentically, through self reflective practices, validated in their own individual, cultural, ethnic, social and unique identities.
It's through this lens that this community was created to establish a place where early childhood educators and care givers can gather, share, and lift each other. This journey is still in it's early development.
The dream is that this space will become a place where all are seen, heard, and validated. A place where we can learn from each other, advocate as a whole, and create the presence and recognition we deserve.
Through continued connection and shared progress, we strive to better ourselves, our practice, and future generations, highlighting our many gifts and engaging our own strength to speak out against unfairness
How we got here
Through witnessing the change in our political atmosphere, a world pandemic, climate crisis, and global wars, our founder has spent the last 5 years in self-reflective practice, research, and connection, evaluating and understanding the injustice and oppression that continues to prevail within many of our systems. By not shying away from difficult conversations, promoting community building and the creation of self-reflective gatherings, ECJ continues to reach across divides with compassion and respect never giving up on a dream that every living being, inclusive of all experiences and identities, is seen, safe, and loved.
Children's Community Garden
The goal of the Children's Community Garden is to help provide access to natural learning spaces for children and families by providing an online learning platform inspiring our littlest learners to recognize the changes in the world around them, and develop the skills required to grow food. ECJ promotes the concept of healing through connection with Earth and nature by inspiring others to reach out to local community gardens creating their own gathering space and sharing how these spaces are thriving with others on this platform.
